New Beginnings.

Settling in to my new "Digs".

Moving is frequently cited as one of the most stressful life events (after the death of a loved one or illness).  Amen to that......

Sheesh.  I really thought moving my business was going to be a breeze.  I was so organized.
Boxes. Check.
Moving truck. Check.
Strong guys to move lots of make-up. Check.
Change of address card to post office.  Check.
Plus a million other things.  Check.
Onward and upward!!
Just like the Jefferson's.  Here I come, new shiny BIGGER studio.

Everything went like clock work.  Well sort of....  What I had not planned on, was the anxiety I felt leaving my old TINY studio.

During the four years I was in my tiny studio in Clarksville, MD, I learned a lot about myself and business.  I met so many fantastic women whom I now call friends.  I had a routine that I loved.  Go the bank, stop by Roots, lunch at Ruby Tuesdays, drop packages at Post Office. etc. etc.

When I started my own business five years ago, it was a leap of faith. I have always wanted to own a business.  So I took a chance and I am so glad I did.  But, leaving my first "business home" proved a bit harder than I thought.

Now that I have one week under my belt, I am feeling a little more like myself and am getting excited. The boxes are unloaded and it is time for business as usual.

Change is always challenging, even when we want it.
But one thing that will never change is my love for what I do, and the wonderful clients I look forward to seeing everyday.

Now where did I put that NEW fabulous color lipgloss I just ordered?
